About the Company Our manufacturing client is seeking a Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing and supply chain activities on a contract basis, with the potential to convert to a full-time role. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and components are available to support production schedules while maintaining cost and supplier performance expectations. Responsibilities Execute purchasing activities for raw materials, components, and indirect spend Create, manage, and track purchase orders within the ERP/MRP system Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing activities to align with demand Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and delivery commitments Address delivery issues, shortages, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies Partner with Planning, Production, and Operations teams to support manufacturing needs Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation Assist with sourcing, cost-reduction, and process improvement initiatives as needed Qualifications 2+ years of Buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience working within an ERP/MRP system (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Plex, or similar) Solid understanding of procurement processes and inventory management Proficiency in Excel and basic reporting Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Required Skills 2+ years of Buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience working within an ERP/MRP system (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Plex, or similar) Solid understanding of procurement processes and inventory management Proficiency in Excel and basic reporting Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Immediate impact opportunity supporting active manufacturing operations Exposure to cross-functional teams and supply chain decision-making Potential path to permanent employment based on performance and business needs Pay range and compensation package Not specified in the provided job description.
