This role involves operating power (tractor) trucks to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on timely delivery and operational excellence. Duties Safely operate power trucks with manual transmissions across assigned routes, ensuring timely deliveries. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Manage route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues that may arise during transit. Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving, including load securement and vehicle maintenance. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Experience driving power (tractor) trucks with manual transmissions preferred. Proven experience with freight delivery and route driving. Ability to load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods as required. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling. Experience driving in various environments, including urban, rural, and highway settings. Excellent driving record with no recent violations or accidents. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road. Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
