Job Description

Freight Administrator Pay:
$21.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Job Summary We are seeking a Freight Administrator with strong customer service skills and experience using Microsoft Excel to support outbound shipping operations. This position will coordinate shipments, prepare shipping documentation, communicate with internal and external partners, and help ensure orders are shipped accurately, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers, and able to communicate professionally when handling shipping questions, exceptions, and time-sensitive requests. Logistics or freight administration experience is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Manage carrier change requests and coordinate updates as needed Schedule, quote, and route truckload and expedited shipments Ensure shipments are routed in the most cost-effective manner while following established shipping guidelines Process unrouteable orders, including Criticality 1 shipments for the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and international destinations Prepare shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, Shipper's Letter of Instructions (SLIs), Commercial Invoices, and related paperwork Identify and resolve shipping documentation issues and missed shipments Respond to and follow up on daily inquiries related to carrier changes, expedited and must-ship requests, exceptions, and shipment tracking Maintain accurate information and data within freight management systems Communicate and collaborate with internal departments, carriers, customers, and other external stakeholders Provide professional customer service while resolving shipping-related questions and issues Ensure shipment information is accurate and up to date Qualifications Strong customer service experience Microsoft Excel experience required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and internal teams Logistics, transportation, freight, or shipping administration experience is a plus Previous experience preparing shipping documentation is a plus Schedule & Pay Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM $21.00-$24.00 per hour , based on experience IND2
