Job Description

The Shipping & Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing outbound shipments for precision-machined components, fabricated assemblies, and RF antenna products. This position focuses on domestic and international shipping, documentation accuracy, packaging and crating, freight coordination, address verification, shipment tracking, and customer service. The position reports directly to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and plays a critical role in ensuring products arrive safely, accurately, and on time.
Job Requirements:
Coordinate and execute domestic and international shipments. Verify customer shipping addresses and shipment requirements prior to shipment release. Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and export documents. Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with parcel, LTL, FTL, air, and ocean carriers. Utilize customer shipping portals including OTM, ClearOrbit, and other customer-specific systems. Ensure all shipments are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule. Package products to prevent shipping damage and maintain customer satisfaction. Build, assemble, or coordinate crates when required. Photograph all crated and high-value shipments prior to shipment and maintain organized records. Maintain shipping documentation in accordance with
ISO 9001
requirements. Track shipments and assist in resolving freight claims and delivery discrepancies. Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and internal departments. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience /
Education:
Education & Experience:
Requires a High School diploma/GED plus minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight coordination, or manufacturing support Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and shipping software platforms. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. International shipping and export documentation experience preferred. Experience with OTM, ClearOrbit, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL, or similar platforms preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, shipment accuracy, professional packaging and crating, documentation control, customer service, accountability, and the ability to perform under deadline pressure.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and regularly wear safety PPE properly, such as respirators, hearing and eye protection, and safety footwear. Required to be standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
