International Shipping Specialist Robesonia, PA | Full-Time | On-Site |
Salary:
DOE Reading Bakery Systems is seeking an experienced International Shipping Specialist to support daily shipping activities at our Robesonia manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on position that combines dock and material-handling responsibilities with international shipment coordination and customs documentation. The International Shipping Specialist will primarily prepare and ship replacement parts and equipment components, along with customer product samples being sent internationally. Accuracy, organization, and follow-through are essential to preventing customs delays and ensuring shipments reach our customers safely and on time. What You'll Do Pick, pack, label and prepare parts, equipment components and customer samples for domestic and international shipment. Complete international shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin. Coordinate shipments with UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight carriers, customs brokers and freight forwarders. Compare freight options, schedule pickups, track deliveries and help resolve delays, damage or customs issues. Receive incoming materials and maintain accurate shipping, receiving and inventory transactions in Microsoft D365. Load and unload trucks and safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment. Assist with cycle counts and keep the shipping and receiving area organized, clean and safe. What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of global shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience. Experience preparing international shipping and customs documents, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin. Familiarity with HTS classifications, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international carriers. Experience using UPS, FedEx, DHL, or similar shipping systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an ERP or inventory system; Microsoft D365 experience is a plus. Forklift experience preferred; company certification will be required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities, communicate clearly, and follow issues through to resolution. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform material-handling duties throughout the workday. Ability to work in a manufacturing and shipping-dock environment. Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment following proper training and certification.
