Campaign Associate (Clean Transportation & Climate Policy) Location Washington, DC 20005 Date Posted April 02, 2026 Job ID 14378 Employment Type Direct Hire Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Campaign Associate (Clean Transportation & Climate Policy - Electrification) on behalf of a mission-driven environmental nonprofit organization. This is an exciting opportunity to support high-impact advocacy efforts focused on electric vehicle (EV) transition, decarbonization, and corporate accountability within the global transportation sector.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Campaign Associate will support the execution of advocacy and corporate accountability campaigns focused on accelerating the transition to zero-emission transportation, particularly within heavy-duty vehicle sectors. This role will collaborate closely with internal leadership and global partners to coordinate coalition efforts, conduct research, and contribute to campaign strategy and communications. This position includes work across international markets, particularly in the Global South, and may require flexibility to support partners across multiple time zones.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the execution of corporate accountability campaigns focused on clean transportation, EV adoption, and emissions reduction
  • Coordinate with coalition partners and stakeholders to align advocacy efforts and amplify impact across global campaigns
  • Conduct research and develop campaign materials, including briefs, memos, and communications content
  • Track policy, regulatory developments, and industry activity related to transportation decarbonization and electrification
  • Maintain systems to monitor campaign progress, media coverage, and key milestones
  • Support partner engagement efforts, including identifying and cultivating new stakeholders and allies
  • Assist in developing campaign messaging, social media guidance, and communications tools in collaboration with partners
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in advocacy, campaigns, nonprofit, or related fields
  • Experience supporting issue-based campaigns, coalition coordination, or grassroots organizing efforts
  • Familiarity with climate policy, clean transportation, electric vehicles (EV), or decarbonization initiatives preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex topics into clear messaging
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building partnerships
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position offers a salary range of $85,000-$95,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including fully employer-paid health coverage, retirement contributions, generous paid time off, and additional wellness and commuter benefits.
