Job Description
BDR Solutions, LLC, (BDR) supports the U.S. Federal Government in successfully achieving its mission and goals. Our service and solution delivery starts with understanding each client s end-state, and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency s organization to improve and enhance business and technical operations and deployments. BDR is seeking a Java Developer to join our growing team! This is a hybrid position that will be performed on-site in Washington, DC. This position requires ship with an active Top-Secret clearance. (Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions that support mission-critical systems.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and engineering teams to define and implement new features Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability requirements Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications:
A BS in IT or related field. 5+ years of professional experience in Java application development Strong proficiency in Java (e.g., Java 8+), including object-oriented design and development Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or willingness to obtain certification within a defined timeframe. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar frameworks Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
