Freight Agent/Freight Broker

Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with clients and carriers to facilitate seamless freight transactions Manage transportation planning, including route optimization and scheduling, ensuring timely deliveries Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), EDI, and CRM software to track shipments, generate quotes, and update records accurately Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to maximize profitability and service quality Coordinate dispatching, freight booking, and load matching activities while ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations and other industry standards Conduct lead generation activities through inside sales efforts, B2B outreach, and market research to expand client base Handle data entry tasks related to shipment details, pricing, and carrier information with precision using systems like AS400 Skills Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and transportation sales strategies Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, and AS400 platforms Excellent negotiation abilities coupled with effective account management skills Experience with inside sales techniques, lead generation, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools Familiarity with transportation planning, dispatching procedures, and carrier sales processes Ability to handle contracts negotiations confidently while adhering to industry regulations such as FMCSA standards Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills for accurate record keeping and reporting Join us as a Freight Agent/Freight Broker if you're passionate about logistics, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want to be part of a team that values innovation and growth.
