as a Freight Manager and take charge of our logistics operations in Houston, TX. This exciting opportunity allows you to lead a dynamic team, optimize freight solutions, and drive efficiency in our supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and clients to enhance service quality. Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency. Monitor freight expenses and negotiate contracts to optimize costs. Broker freight and bid on current and potential business. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. Train and mentor logistics staff to foster a high-performance culture.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight management or logistics operations. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and industry best practices. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. The idea candidate must reside in the Houston Area and must be willing to commute to office everyday.
