Kauaʻi Chamber of CommerceAbout the Kauaʻi Chamber of Commerce The Kauaʻi Chamber of Commerce is the leading voice for the business community on the island of Kauaʻi, dedicated to fostering economic growth, advocating for local businesses, and enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. Position Overview The President serves as the chief executive officer of the Kauaʻi Chamber of Commerce, responsible for the overall management, leadership, and strategic direction of the organization. This highly visible role requires an energetic and visionary leader who can build relationships, advocate for businesses, and promote the Chamber's mission. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Chamber activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Represent the Chamber and its members to government officials, the media, and the public. Foster strong relationships with business leaders, community partners, and stakeholders. Lead and supervise Chamber staff, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Develop and execute fundraising and membership growth strategies. Oversee financial management, including budgeting and reporting. Plan, promote, and manage Chamber events, programs, and initiatives. Advocate for policies that support business development and economic vitality on Kauaʻi. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit, business, or community organizations. Strong communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills. Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead teams. Experience with financial management and organizational budgeting. Knowledge of Kauaʻi's business environment and community issues preferred. Ability to develop effective partnerships and work collaboratively with diverse groups.
