Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead the growth and strategic direction of the Coldwater Chamber. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of organizational management, fostering strong community and business relationships, and driving initiatives that support local economic development. The Executive Director will serve as the primary ambassador for the Chamber, inspiring collaboration among members, stakeholders, and community partners to create a vibrant, prosperous environment for businesses and residents alike. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader passionate about economic growth, community engagement, and strategic management. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans aligned with the Chamber's mission to promote local business success and community vitality. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Chamber, ensuring effective execution of programs, events, and initiatives that benefit members and the broader community. Cultivate strong relationships with board members, local government officials, business leaders, and community organizations to foster collaboration and support for Chamber goals. Oversee financial management including budgeting, financial planning, and ensuring sound fiscal practices in accordance with nonprofit standards. Drive fundraising efforts through sponsorships, grants, membership drives, and business development initiatives to support organizational growth. Lead marketing strategies to enhance visibility of the Chamber's programs and member businesses through digital platforms, media outreach, and community events. Supervise staff and volunteers by providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to ensure a high-performing team committed to excellence. Manage operations efficiently by implementing best practices in organizational management while maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Requirements Proven experience in corporate strategy development coupled with executive leadership in a nonprofit or similar organization. Strong background in business management with demonstrated success in strategic planning and operational oversight. Extensive experience in financial management including budgeting at an executive level within nonprofit or chamber settings. Skilled in team management with a track record of supervising staff and fostering collaborative work environments. Expertise in marketing, fundraising strategies, business development, and community engagement initiatives. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships with board members, government officials, business leaders, and community stakeholders. Knowledge of nonprofit financial practices along with experience managing large-scale projects or events related to economic development or community programs. Leadership qualities characterized by entrepreneurship spirit, strategic thinking, operational acumen, and a passion for community service.
