We are a small organization with a large heart, a deep community presence, and an ambitious vision for what's possible. And we're growing. The Opportunity We are searching for our first Executive Director — a seasoned, mission-driven leader ready to step into a role that is both deeply meaningful and genuinely complex. You'll lead strategy, people, operations, and impact, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. You'll also work alongside our Founder, who is transitioning into a senior advisory role, making space for you to lead with full operational authority. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of an organization that is already changing lives and to do it from a position of real leadership, not a committee of one. What You'll Do Lead organizational vision, strategy, and long-term growth Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors; implement board-approved plans Hire, develop, and lead senior staff; build a culture of accountability and belonging Oversee programs, operations, compliance, and organizational infrastructure Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and long-term sustainability planning Drive fundraising strategy, donor cultivation, and grant development Represent Bridges Reentry publicly and build strong community and government partnerships Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree a plus but not required 3-5+ years nonprofit leadership experience (human services or reentry preferred) Proven ability to raise at least $250K+ annually Experience managing budgets of $400K+ Experience with trauma-informed and culturally responsive leadership Ability to build partnerships with employers, community organizations, and government agencies Comfortable engaging with media and public events Emotionally intelligent leader who builds trust across diverse stakeholders Deeply mission-driven and aligned with Bridges Reentry's values If you are a strategic, emotionally intelligent leader who knows how to build things, sustain them, and bring people along. You are financially fluent, a skilled communicator, and at home in complex organizational environments. You lead with humility and conviction. You're collaborative without being indecisive.
