Job Description:
Overview We are seeking an experienced Director of Maritime Services to lead a private three-vessel yachting program, including a 46m superyacht and two support vessels operating globally. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who combines captain-level expertise with an executive mindset - someone equally comfortable at sea and managing complex operations, budgets, and stakeholder relationships ashore. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all fleet operations, crew, and service standards Serve as Relief Captain aboard the superyacht (approximately 25-35% of time) Act as the primary liaison to senior stakeholders, delivering clear updates and managing sensitive matters with discretion Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and vendor relationships across the program Lead crew management, including hiring, performance, scheduling, and culture Manage global logistics, itineraries, and regulatory compliance Establish and enforce operating standards, policies, and procedures across the fleet Direct maintenance programs, refits, and overall vessel readiness Support a limited annual charter program Qualifications Valid Master-level captain's license (46m+ vessels) 10+ years of maritime experience, including command of large yachts Experience managing multi-vessel or fleet operations Demonstrated strength in budgeting, reporting, and operational oversight Experience coordinating with cross-functional partners (e.g., finance, HR, external vendors) Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations Based in Fort Lauderdale when ashore Who You Are A polished, professional leader with a strong executive presence Highly discreet and trusted in handling confidential environments Equally skilled in operational leadership and administrative management Proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented Clear, confident communicator with the ability to manage up and down effectively
