Job Description The YMCA of the Palm Beaches is expanding its philanthropy team and seeking a dynamic and accomplished fundraising leader to serve as our Chief Philanthropy Officer. Reporting directly to the President & CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Philanthropy Officer will lead the YMCA's philanthropic strategy in alignment with the organization's strategic initiatives and priorities. High-level competencies should include the following: Proven strength in developing, leading, and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies Success raising seven figure gifts (eight figure gifts a plus) Experience leading capital and/or comprehensive campaigns Planned giving expertise Expert relationship-building skills Track record of taking principal and major donors from identification through solicitation Experience tracking and using data analysis to build a fundraising strategy Creative, personal, and effective stewardship strategies for principal and major donors Successful team management and leadership experience Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; CFRE and/or CFRM highly preferred 10+ years of progressive fundraising leadership experience Demonstrated success securing major and principal gifts Proven experience leading comprehensive fundraising initiatives and capital campaigns Exceptional relationship-building skills with donors, volunteers, board members, and community leaders Essential Functions This role offers the opportunity to work alongside influential community leaders, drive meaningful impact, and help create opportunities for youth, families, and individuals throughout Palm Beach County. You will join one of the community's most respected organizations that is expanding its footprint and attracting new support. Required Certifications Consideration will be given to submissions that show examples of high-level advancement strategy and leadership experience, planning and executing comprehensive and capital campaigns, raising transformational gifts, and working with high-level volunteer leaders to build long-term, sustainable relationships.
