Founded in 1966, PBSC is a growing member-owned 501(c)(7) organization dedicated to sailing, racing, youth programs, adult instruction, social events, and waterfront recreation. The club serves more than 225 adult members and 60 junior members, operates a waterfront campus on Lake Worth Lagoon, manages a fleet of sailing and power boats, and oversees an annual operating budget of approximately $1.4 million. Position Overview The General Manager serves as the club's senior operational leader and works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and members to deliver an outstanding member experience while supporting the club's long-term growth and financial sustainability. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day club operations, facilities, and member services. Manage staff, contractors, and vendors while fostering a culture of professionalism and hospitality. Support sailing programs, youth camps, racing events, and social activities. Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and administrative operations. Oversee maintenance of power boat fleet used for coaching and race mgmt Drive membership growth, retention, and engagement initiatives. Maintain club facilities, marina assets, and waterfront operations. Partner with the Board of Directors to implement strategic priorities and capital improvement initiatives. Qualifications 3-5+ years of management experience in a yacht club, sailing club, marina, private club, hospitality operation, recreational facility, or member-based organization. Demonstrated success leading teams, managing operations, and delivering exceptional customer service. Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and organizational management. Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Ability to thrive in a hands-on, member-focused environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with sailing programs, marina operations, or waterfront facilities. Experience working with nonprofit membership organizations. Familiarity with membership management software, accounting systems, and digital communications tools. Knowledge of boating, marine operations, and waterfront safety practices including boat maintenance, trailering. launching. Why PBSC?
