The Role The COO is responsible for the operation of an effective, ethical, and fast-paced organization. A successful candidate will possess good instincts, enjoy a varied role, and bring flexibility and creativity to succeed in a mission-oriented startup. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO to carry out the CEO's vision. Through the COO's effective oversight and direction of operations, the CEO has the flexibility to develop strategy and relationships in the political and donor communities and grow the organization.
  • Oversee internal team leaders and third-party service providers. ? Manage the firm's financial operations. ? Accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of compliance work product. ? Oversee all HR functions. ? See opportunities and shortcomings and rise to meet the challenges. ? Support fundraising and political teams and ensure their effective operations. Qualifications
  • 10+ years of senior experience in financial operations, compliance, or executive management within the political or civic advocacy sector.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Experience with compliance needs of different types of entities.
  • Proven people-management experience leading multiple functional teams.
  • High emotional intelligence alongside strong analytical ability - leads through coaching and collaboration, not command-and-control.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CPA, JD, or equivalent advanced credential is a plus.

Compensation Base salary range of $200,000-$250,000, plus performance bonus. The position may warrant placement above this range if the successful candidate's scope is closer to a combined COO/CFO mandate. To apply , send a resume and cover letter to applications@forwardparty.com.
