Job Description

1.
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement sustainability strategies, initiatives, and manage KPIs that align with Hutchinson's overall Sustainability goals and objectives for North America. Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure alignment and integration of sustainability efforts across different departments and locations. Identify opportunities for improving sustainability practices within the organization, including reducing carbon footprint, social outreach collaboration, and resource conservation. 2.
Compliance and Reporting:
Develop and maintain sustainability reports, to support our annual stakeholder reports such as SoGreat, AGORA, HARPE, SafeRing to reduce localized tracking activities and better prepare for customer / stakeholder audits. 3.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and community organizations, to promote sustainability awareness and participation. Lead or participate in sustainability committees, working groups, and industry associations focused on environmental and social responsibility. Collaborate with suppliers and partners to improve sustainability practices throughout the supply chain (purchasing). 4.
Education and Training:
Develop and deliver sustainability training programs for employees, ensuring that staff across all levels understand the importance of sustainability and how they can contribute. Create educational materials and resources to support sustainability initiatives, such as recycling programs, energy-saving tips, and green procurement practices. Promote a culture of sustainability within the organization through awareness campaigns and employee engagement activities. 5.
Project Management:
Manage sustainability projects, including the development of timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct supervisory responsibilities but would be responsible for leading focused teams and providing leadership for the Sustainability topic in multiple affiliates and legal entities.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Must actively support our Health Safety and Environmental policy, immediately report all Safety hazards and correct them when able to safely do so, participate in all required Safety Training meetings, inspects, and use all required PPE.
