  • Strategic Enablement & Administration Lead
  • YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The primary responsibilities of this role, Strategic Enablement & Administration Lead, are to: +
Drive Strategic Vision:
Lead the development and execution of strategic pillars and transformative strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the long-term objectives of Breeding and R D, thereby positioning the organization for sustained success. +
Executive Partnership:
Collaborate closely with the Leader of Breeding, Head of R D and R D Chief of Staff, and respective leadership teams to strategically prioritize and manage critical business objectives, fostering an integrated approach across functions. +
Lead High-Impact Projects:
Champion and oversee special projects and cross-functional task forces within Breeding and R D, leveraging diverse expertise to drive innovation and operational excellence. + Support regional Breeding teams to develop strategies and align resources to achieve global and regional crop business objects in order to achieve P&L targets for business growth. +
Optimize Operations:
Oversee and enhance the daily operations of global breeding leadership teams, ensuring optimal efficiency and responsiveness to dynamic market demands. +
Process Improvement:
Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks in organizational processes, recommending and implementing strategic improvements that elevate overall performance. +
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Develop, establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making, ensuring accountability and alignment with strategic goals. +
Champion Organizational Alignment:
Foster a culture of collaboration and alignment across Breeding and R D, driving outcomes that support the organization's mission and vision. +
Facilitate Strategic Planning:
Lead the strategic planning process for breeding leadership team meetings and retreats, ensuring alignment on priorities and execution plans with operational staff. +
Represent Leadership:
Serve as a key representative for the Head of Breeding in internal and external engagements, effectively communicating the organization's strategic direction and initiatives. +
Strategic Partnerships:
Act as a strategic partner between Breeding, Commercial, and Product Supply on cross-regional and global initiatives, focusing on both organizational and technical projects, with a primary emphasis on the NA and ANZ regions.
Liaison Role:
Function as a strategic liaison between the Head of Breeding and the Head of R D, facilitating effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to advance collaborative efforts. +
Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization, including senior leaders and key partners, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across global teams.
  • WHO YOU ARE
  • Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
  • Required Qualifications:
  • + Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or related field.
+ 18+ years of experience within R D and Product Supply in strategic and operational roles within large, complex organizations; deep understanding of Plant Breeding and agricultural R D operations is a plus. + Experience leading large, complex global teams across regions and cultures. + Proven track record of managing executive-level projects and cross-functional teams. + Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills. + Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information. + Strong business acumen and understanding of business principles, financial analysis, and operational processes. + Experience in change management and leading teams through transitions is preferred. + Familiarity with digital tools and technology trends in R D and breeding is a plus. + Demonstrated global perspective and cultural competence, with experience working in diverse teams or international markets. + Commitment to mentorship and development within the organization. + Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic R D environment. This posting will be available for application until at least May 27, 2026. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $178880-268320. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
