Full Job Description Reports To:
President & CEO The Vice President of Operations is a member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for overseeing the organization's administrative operations, regulatory readiness, and operational effectiveness. This position works closely with the President & CEO and senior leadership to ensure efficient operations, organizational compliance, and the successful execution of strategic initiatives that support the mission of Vantage Health System. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of administrative and operational functions across the organization.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to implement strategic goals, organizational priorities, and operational initiatives.
- Oversee accreditation, licensing, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness activities.
- Monitor and support organizational performance improvement efforts and quality initiatives.
- Implement and evaluate operational policies, develop procedures, and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supervise administrative staff and provide leadership, coaching, and professional development.
- Safety initiatives, emergency preparedness planning, and risk management activities with senior management.
- Seek and support grant administration, reporting requirements, and organizational development initiatives.
- Assist with contract administration and organizational compliance monitoring.
- Serve as a liaison between departments to promote communication, collaboration, and operational consistency.
- Assist with community outreach activities, special events, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and supporting documentation for executive leadership and the Board of Trustees as needed.
- Participate in labor relations matters and organizational planning as assigned.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and community events as needed. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or related organizational operations.
- Experience with compliance, accreditation, licensing, performance improvement, and operational management.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and organizational initiatives.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working within a nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health environment preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general health and social services guidelines, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, health correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT
Work tasks can be straightforward, routine, structured or complex, non-routine, non-structured and guided by established policies and procedures. Independent clinical/administrative judgment is required outside of making basic choice in the selection and application of established methods. The job received frequent, ongoing supervision.
