  • $150,000 a year
  • Full-time $85,000
  • $150,000 a year
  • Full-time Overview Anchor Orthodontics is at an exciting stage of growth where a key operational team member is necessary to take the practice to the next level!
We are looking for a team member that wants the ability to demonstrate leadership, growth metric analysis and implementation, and be a key sounding board for Dr. Lavigne, the owner and visionary of the practice. Please visit our website and social media for a better understanding of the office culture that currently exists. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational excellence of a multi-location orthodontic practice. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, driving efficiency, quality patient care, and financial performance across all practice locations. The COO will oversee daily operations, foster team development, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and implement innovative management strategies to support sustainable growth. If you are energized by transforming healthcare delivery and possess a strong background in medical office management, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact in a thriving orthodontic practice. We are currently a two office practice, but looking to take on a new pediatric wing under a different name. Responsibilities Lead the overall operational management of two orthodontic practice locations, ensuring seamless coordination and high-quality patient experiences. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize clinic performance, including workflow improvements, resource allocation, and service expansion initiatives. Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control measures to enhance profitability and financial sustainability. Supervise medical office staff, including clinical and administrative teams, fostering a positive work environment focused on excellence and accountability. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as
HIPAA, JCAHO
standards, and OSHA requirements while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation. Manage human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee engagement strategies. Implement quality assurance protocols for acute care scenarios and ensure adherence to safety standards across all locations. Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in patient care delivery and operational efficiency through data analysis and process optimization. Pay will be tied to overhead and growth metrics so that there is ample opportunity for the success created by the implementation of systems to grow the practice, decrease unnecessary financial waste, and start a pediatric component of the office that does not yet exist. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office management within dental or healthcare settings; orthodontic or dental clinic experience highly preferred but not necessary for the right person. Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations. Extensive knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control strategies. Excellent leadership abilities combined with effective communication skills to motivate staff and foster collaboration. Ability to have thick skin when dealing with difficult but necessary patient and employee management issues. Background in managing human resources functions such as hiring practices, performance evaluations, training programs and employee engagement initiatives. Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare environments while maintaining focus on operational excellence. Join us if you're ready to lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional orthodontic care while advancing your career in healthcare management!
