Midcoast FCU is seeking a strategic, people-centered Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our core operational and lending functions during an exciting period of growth. This executive role partners closely with the President/CEO and Senior Management Team to translate strategy into disciplined, compliant, and member-focused execution across the organization. What You'll Do The COO provides enterprise-wide leadership across operations, and lending driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and scalable growth. The role partners closely with leaders across retail and digital delivery channels, offering strategic guidance and operational support to ensure consistent, high-quality, member experience. Key Areas of Responsibility

• Operations & Payments Leadership - Provide executive oversight of deposit operations, card services, and electronic payments, to ensure consistent, efficient, and compliant service delivery, strong vendor management, and exceptional member experience.
• Lending Operations Oversight - Lead consumer, indirect, and real estate lending operations, ensuring strong underwriting, servicing, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and the effective use of technology to support scalable, member-focused lending solutions.
• Retail & eBranch Operational Support - Partner with Retail, Operations, and Lending leaders to support branch and eBranch operations through well-documented procedures, effective controls, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration that delivers consistent member experience.
• Enterprise Leadership & Strategic Execution - Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, translating organizational strategy into disciplined execution while developing executive leaders, managing operational risk, and supporting enterprise initiatives aligned with Midcoast's mission and risk appetite.

• 5 - 10 years of senior leadership experience within financial services or operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and develop teams while managing regulatory and operational risk.

Work Environment This is a hybrid role requiring some in-office presence and periodic travel within the Credit Union's service area. Benefits Compensation commensurate with experience. Pay:

$142,260.00 - $160,000.00 per year
