Job Description

Program Director, 340B
Role Type:
Direct Hire | Perm Base
Location:
Hybrid, onsite at minimum 1x per month at ASR in Somerville, MA.
On-Site Requirements:
The candidate must be physically available on-site for all Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), planned management meetings, and critical branch audits or system optimization events.
Geographic Flexibility:
Regional candidates (e.g., commuting from Connecticut or New Jersey) who can seamlessly fulfill all on-site and on-call audit obligations are welcome to apply.
Shift/Hours:
Regular Business Hours.
Relocation Note:
Direct corporate relocation packages are not available. However, a sign-on bonus (typically 3% to 7% of base salary) may be considered for premium talent and can be utilized by the candidate to fund self-relocation.
Target Start Date:
Ideally August or September (allowing up to a 6-week post-offer transition window for relocation if necessary). Must-Haves
Credentials:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is strictly required, along with an active clinical license.
Hospital & Provider Ecosystem:
Proven track record as a clinical pharmacist operating directly within an acute care hospital or health system provider environment. Dual 340
B Functional Expertise:
Must possess hands-on 340B experience encompassing both mixed-use settings AND contract pharmacy operations.
Enterprise Complexity:
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of intensive 340B operations experience within a massive, highly matrixed healthcare or multi-hospital system. (Candidates with backgrounds limited strictly to retail-only setups, single clinics, or non-pharmacist compliance roles will not be considered).
Compliance & Audit Mastery:
Proven track record of personally managing, preparing for, and executing large-scale, complex government 340B audits and regulatory optimization protocols.
Executive Presence:
Exceptional communication and presentation skills necessary to lead high-level stakeholder meetings and align policy across separate major institutional divisions. Nice-to-Haves Prior leadership experience guiding large networks through recent multi-hospital system integrations or transition periods.
