Vice President of Clinical Operations Hybrid Role | Travel Required $100,000 - $130,000 per year Pyramid Healthcare Full-Time | Exempt Executive Clinical Leadership Opportunity Pyramid Healthcare is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Clinical Operations to oversee and advance clinical services across our behavioral health and substance use disorder programs. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving clinical excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving outcomes, and supporting operational success across multiple programs and regions. This is a hybrid leadership position with regular travel required to program locations as needed. Required Qualifications Education & Licensure Master's Degree in a behavioral health-related field required (Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or related field) Independent clinical licensure strongly preferred:

Licensed Psychologist
PMHNP / CRNP-PMH
Experience 7-10 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment Experience leading multi-site or multi-state clinical operations strongly preferred Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards including CARF, OMHSAS, DDAP, and related agencies Experience with payer relations, outcomes measurement, and performance improvement initiatives preferred Skills & Abilities Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Strong understanding of behavioral health and substance use treatment modalities Ability to analyze data and drive strategic decision-making Experience leading organizational change and developing clinical leaders Commitment to ethical care, compliance, and clinical excellence Position Summary The Vice President of Clinical Operations provides strategic direction and operational oversight for clinical programming across Pyramid Healthcare. This leader will support Clinical Directors and interdisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and evidence-based best practices. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and visionary leader with a strong background in behavioral healthcare operations, clinical quality, and program development. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Strategy Develop and implement organization-wide clinical strategies that improve quality, outcomes, and operational performance Provide leadership and oversight to Regional Clinical Directors and program-level clinical leaders Partner with executive leadership on program development, clinical innovation, and operational initiatives Lead implementation and fidelity monitoring of evidence-based practices including ASAM criteria and trauma-informed care Compliance & Quality Oversight Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards including CARF, OMHSAS, DDAP, and other licensing bodies Guide programs through audits, licensing renewals, and corrective action processes Review and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment Collaborate with Quality and Compliance teams to establish clinical performance indicators and improvement initiatives Performance & Outcomes Monitor key clinical metrics including engagement, outcomes, readmission rates, and length of stay Utilize data-driven decision making to improve program performance and clinical effectiveness Support payer initiatives and value-based purchasing efforts tied to measurable quality outcomes Leadership Development Mentor and develop Clinical Directors and interdisciplinary leadership teams Support clinical staff training, competency development, and credentialing processes Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Organizational Collaboration Partner with Operations, Finance, Business Development, and Payer Relations teams to align clinical and organizational goals Support implementation of new clinical programs, technology solutions, and innovative care models Represent Pyramid Healthcare at conferences, regulatory meetings, and external partnerships Why Join Pyramid Healthcare?
