Job Description
Job Summary:
You don't just manage a law firm—you build one that performs. We are not looking for an "office manager." We are looking for a builder, operator, and integrator —someone who can take a growing law firm and turn it into a high-performance business where people, systems, and numbers all work together. If you thrive at the intersection of people leadership, financial strategy, and operational execution , this role is for you. The Opportunity You will serve as the operational leader of the firm , partnering directly with the Owners/CEO/CFO to: Turn vision into execution Bring structure to growth Build a team that performs without constant oversight Ensure the business runs with clarity, accountability, and profitability This is a seat at the leadership table , not a support role. What You Will Own 1. Financial Leadership & Business Performance Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Interpret financial statements and drive profitability decisions Monitor KPIs and build reporting systems that create visibility Optimize billing, collections, and overall revenue operations You don't just "track numbers"—you use them to drive decisions . 2. People & Culture Leadership Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management Coach managers and hold the team accountable to clear standards Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans Build a culture of ownership, professionalism, and accountability You know how to balance high standards with strong relationships . 3. Operations & Systems Design and optimize workflows, SOPs, and firm processes Ensure systems support efficiency, scalability, and quality control Oversee technology, case management, and reporting systems Lead projects that improve how the firm operates day-to-day You see chaos as a systems problem—and you fix it . 4. Strategic Execution Translate firm goals into quarterly and monthly priorities Lead planning cycles and track execution against targets Identify bottlenecks and solve them before they become crises Support growth initiatives, including marketing and business development alignment You are the bridge between strategy and reality . 5. Compliance, Risk & Infrastructure Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and procedures Oversee contracts, vendor relationships, and facilities Maintain proper records, controls, and confidentiality standards You protect the business while helping it grow. Who You Are You are not just experienced—you are wired for this role : You have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and can influence at all levels You are a clear communicator —written and verbal You understand financials deeply (not just surface-level reports) You are highly organized and know how to prioritize and delegate effectively You are comfortable navigating conflict, accountability, and difficult conversations You think in systems, not tasks You are both strategic and hands-on At your core, you are someone who: "Sees what's not working, takes ownership, and builds what's needed." What Success Looks Like Within the first 6-12 months: The firm has clear KPIs and reporting rhythms Team members are accountable and performing Workflows are documented and repeatable The owner is out of the weeds and focused on growth Profitability and operational clarity are measurably improved Why This Role Is Different You will have real authority , not just responsibility You will work directly with leadership to shape the firm's future You will build systems that actually get used You will see the direct impact of your work on people and performance Compensation Competitive salary + performance-based incentives tied to firm success. Full benefits package including PTO, paid holidays, retirement plan, health insurance, W-2 wages, close-at-noon Fridays, and a truly great team to work with. Final Word This role is for someone who: Wants to build something meaningful Takes pride in running a tight operation And is ready to step into a role where their leadership truly matters If that's you—we want to talk.Pay:
