Position Summary The Head of Production will lead the production chemical operations across the Permian Basin. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing multiple regional teams, driving business development with new and existing customers, and building the reporting and performance documentation that supports both field operations and executive decision-making. The role reports directly to the Vice President and is based at our Midland-Odessa, Texas headquarters. Key Responsibilities Lead operations — Direct day-to-day production chemical operations, including chemical programs, treatment schedules, and field service execution across Permian Basin accounts. Manage teams — Supervise and develop multiple groups — field service technicians, treatment crews, and support staff — including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Drive business development — Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with operators and midstream/SWD customers; grow existing accounts through technical credibility and consistent service delivery. Own reporting — Build and maintain reporting on chemical performance, treatment results, cost per barrel, and account profitability; prepare case studies and performance documentation for customers and leadership. Provide technical leadership — Serve as the senior technical resource for production chemistry — program design, product selection, failure analysis, and optimization recommendations. Prioritize safety — Ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance across all field activities, including chemical handling, transportation, and site work. Support supply chain — Coordinate with supply chain and management on inventory, blending, and product availability to meet customer commitments. Required Qualifications 5-10 years of production chemical experience in the Permian Basin, with a working knowledge of the operators, service environment, and downhole challenges specific to the region. Has demonstrated experience managing multiple teams or field groups in an oilfield service or chemical company setting. Proven business development track record — building customer relationships, winning new accounts, and growing revenue. Strong reporting and documentation skills, including chemical performance tracking, KPI reporting, and customer-facing technical summaries. Solid grounding in production chemistry applications: corrosion and scale inhibition, paraffin/asphaltene control, H₂S scavenging, biocides, surfactants, and acid stimulation programs. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field locations throughout the Permian Basin. Preferred Qualifications Experience with chemicals in the oil and gas industry required Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, or a related field (equivalent field experience considered). Experience with SWD and injection well treatment programs, including HCL acid stimulation. Established relationships with Permian Basin operators and service companies. Experience with P&L ownership or budget responsibility.
