Position Summary The Vice President of Operations will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality across the company's portfolio. This individual will play a key role in shaping operations, developing internal processes, mentoring teams, driving business development efforts, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction executive with a strong operational background and established industry relationships that can help expand the company's client base and market presence. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across multiple commercial construction projects. Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards. Work closely with executive leadership to develop and execute company growth strategies. Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including new clients, markets, and project opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, architects, brokers, consultants, and industry partners. Support proposal development, client presentations, interviews, and contract negotiations. Evaluate and improve operational systems, workflows, and performance metrics. Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing operational teams. Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Maintain a thorough understanding of contracts, scopes, risk management, and construction best practices. Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and business development meetings. Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 10 years in operational leadership. General contracting experience is required. Proven ability to manage multiple high-value ground-up and tenant improvement projects. Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and revenue growth. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and team-building skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to drive operational excellence and company growth. Experience with project management software and construction technology tools. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
