Visit Tri-Cities Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Benton-Franklin Trends Here's how you will support our mission The Director of Auxiliary Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the college's auxiliary enterprises, including leased properties, dining and retail services, and vendor partnerships. This role is responsible for ensuring auxiliary operations are financially sustainable, responsive to campus needs, and aligned with long-term institutional goals. A key focus of the position is evolving current service models, including but not limited to dining and bookstore operations to maintain viability, improve student experience, and adapt to changing market conditions. This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Campus Operations. The salary range for this position is $84,536 - $93,445 annually. This position is open until filled. First consideration will be given to applicants whose complete application has been received by August 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST . The College will conduct initial interviews with selected candidates via Zoom and will conduct on-campus interviews with finalists. Primary Responsibilities Oversee leased properties and auxiliary service agreements, ensuring effective vendor performance, contract compliance, and alignment with institutional priorities; Serve as the primary liaison with external agencies and partners, including leasing and lending agents and the Department of Enterprise Services, for lease creation, negotiation, and ongoing management; Supervise vendor relationships across auxiliary services, including performance monitoring, contract administration, service evaluation, and implementation of improvements; Partner with internal stakeholders and the CBC Foundation to coordinate and support auxiliary operations, including campus vending services, ensuring services meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, and visitors; Lead the planning, development, expansion, and evaluation of campus dining and food service operations, including the campus food truck program and assessment of options to reopen and sustain the Hawks Nest; Participate in cross-training with bookstore leadership for overseeing bookstore operations and oversight, including evaluating and implementing sustainable operating models, funding structures, and vendor arrangements; Develop and implement strategies to ensure the long-term financial viability and operational effectiveness of the campus bookstore, including collaboration with campus leadership on cost allocation and service delivery models; Identify and implement opportunities to improve revenue generation, operational efficiency, and service quality across all auxiliary services while ensuring responsiveness to changing student and market needs; Monitor financial performance of auxiliary units and develop long-range operational and financial plans aligned with institutional priorities, enrollment trends, and strategic goals; Lead efforts to modernize auxiliary services by evaluating industry trends, assessing service delivery models, and implementing innovations that enhance sustainability and user experience; and Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field or equivalent combination of education/training/experience; Experience managing multiple projects and programs simultaneously; and Experience coordinating with vendors, managing budgets, and supporting procurement processes.

PREFERRED QULIFICATIONS

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret utilization data and develop actionable insights; Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; Strong business acumen; Experience in higher education or similar institutional environments; Familiarity with bookstore operations and evolving retail models; Experience developing or managing food service programs, including partnerships such as food trucks or contracted vendors ; and Experience with leases and lease management.
