Videos Duties Help Provides leadership to subordines and technical guidance to executive/management level representives from the Military Services, DCMA, and other Government Agencies. Ensures consistent applicion of policies and procedures across the team for assigned processes/areas of expertise. Supervisory duties include assigning workload, on-the-job training, deciding the acceptability of work products, and annually reviewing subordines. Assigns work, monitors/evalues work performance, manages resources, and develops plans. Represents the team on ad hoc groups, committees, and boards about personnel, resources, budget, and organizion. Performs Position and Resource Management functions such as determining the knowledge, skills, and abilities reled to work performance. Coordines/collabores with the Contract Management Office (CMO) Contracts Director on resourcing and workload decisions. Determines the staffing level needed, requests the resources required, and alloces personnel to adequely and effectively perform team operions. Qualificions To qualify for a Supervisory Contract Specialist, resume and supporting documention must support:
Basic Contracting Requirement:
A.) A baccalauree degree from an accredited educional institution authorized to grant baccalauree degrees. OR B.) A current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with to authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of "A" above.
AND Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience th equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or reled to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or prive sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualificions, and any other regulory requirements by the cut-off/closing de of the announcement.
Creditable specialized experience includes:
Leading/advising a group of employees responsible for contract administrion. Performing contracting functions, such as post award administrion, payment and funding, close out, financial analysis, and negotiion in order to execute a wide range of contracting functions. Experience with providing direction, maintaining ethical standards, and leading teams in executing complex contract management and operional responsibilities in a high-accountability Department of War (DoW) environment.
