Tempe, Arizona, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Subcontracts Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Tempe, Arizona. Overview This role will lead the end-to-end cycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontracts supporting key programs, primarily within the defense and aerospace industry. The candidate will support the Mechanical Assembly Government Sourcing team, training and mentoring team members, and managing commodities within the team from proposal to negotiation of long-term purchase orders and subcontracts. Responsibilities Execute FAR15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations.
Build strong negotiation positions for contract execution.
Manage key program suppliers.
Mentor and train team members.
Build supplier strategies to enable the best overall value.
Support the fulfillment of sales orders and end with negotiating subcontracts or long-term purchase orders.
Work closely with the pricing organization and negotiate with suppliers to secure FAR15 compliant subcontracts. Qualifications Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, law and compliance, business, or finance.
US Person due to contractual requirements.
Subcontracting experience (FAR15).
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Strong negotiation skills and processes. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree.
Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of the program lifecycle.
Experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Experience utilizing MS Office Suite, SAP, and other business tools used in subcontract management activities.
Supply chain experience within defense, aerospace, or a similar industry.
Experience managing subcontracts FFP, CP, CPIF, etc.
Experience with truthful cost or pricing data (TCPD).
Ability to understand and negotiate terms and conditions.
