Job Description

Job Title:
Clinical Contracts Manager We are seeking a skilled Clinical Contracts Manager to oversee and manage contracts with CRO partners, sites, vendors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. This role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing a variety of agreements supporting clinical development and R D activities. Responsibilities Draft, negotiate, and manage clinical trial agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting and services agreements, research agreements, material transfer agreements, and other vendor and services agreements under the supervision of attorneys. Assist with contract interpretation, compliance questions, and issue resolution. Identify and assess legal and business risks associated with clinical and R D contracts and communicate them clearly to attorneys and relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Research, Finance, and Procurement, to support contracting objectives and timelines. Maintain contract records, track contract status, and support contract lifecycle management processes. Provide general support to in-house attorneys on clinical, R D, and related contracting matters. Handle miscellaneous legal and administrative tasks as directed by attorneys. Essential Skills Experience with CRO, site contracts, and negotiation within the biotech/pharma industry. Proven writing, drafting, and negotiation experience with clinical trial agreements both domestically and globally. Ability to manage contracts with CRO partners, sites, vendors, etc. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability. Additional Skills & Qualifications BS/BA degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Understanding of the contract management process, including tracking, negotiation, approval, and signature processes. Knowledge of the drug discovery and development process and pharmaceutical contracting. Ability to work independently and effectively across various functional groups and management levels. Experience with paralegal support tasks, especially in intellectual property or corporate matters, is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal communication skills. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Work Environment This position is a fully onsite 5 days a week position in Alameda with some flexibility if needed on start time. The role requires collaboration with various internal departments and a commitment to maintaining high standards of contract management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Alameda, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
