Job Description
Description Tammy Power, Recruiting Manager with Robert Half is looking for a skilled Contract Manager to join our team in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of construction contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company objectives. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to major commercial construction projects while utilizing your expertise in contract administration and financial management. LinkedIn Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of contract management, including bids, negotiations, compliance checks, change orders, claims, and project closeouts.
- Utilize Sage 300 to manage progress billing, subcontract agreements, and financial reporting.
- Monitor project financials to ensure alignment with contract terms and organizational goals.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential contract-related issues.
- Facilitate document control processes, including scanning, compiling, and organizing project documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth contract execution.
- Review and negotiate contract pricing to maintain competitive and profitable agreements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Provide guidance on compliance with construction industry standards and regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to contract management processes. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction contract management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; additional certifications in contract management are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Sage 300 and other construction accounting systems.
- Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, pricing, and compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills, especially in document control and scanning.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines effectively.
- Solid understanding of risk mitigation strategies within the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
