Senior Contracts Management Specialist

Target salary range: $96,050 - $173,750

We are hiring a Senior Contracts Management Specialist in El Segundo, CA, to support aerospace and defense contracting activities for U.S. Government and Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role requires 5+ years of contracts experience, an active Top Secret clearance, and knowledge of FAR/DFARS, federal government contracting, proposal development, contract negotiation and administration, DCMA requirements, and cost-plus, fixed-price, and time-and-materials contracts.

This position supports complex pre-award and post-award contracting activities, including proposal preparation, risk analysis, contract negotiations, change orders, contract administration, billing and payment coordination, and

flow-down requirements. We are currently hiring at the Level 3 or Level 4 level.

Responsibilities:

Lead proposal preparation, contract negotiations, change orders, and contract administration across an assigned portfolio of programs.

Interface with U.S. Government customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders throughout the contracting lifecycle.

Review proposal requirements, contract terms, and conditions to identify contractual obligations and evaluate business and compliance risks.

Review Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for accuracy and completeness and support compliant contract acquisition and execution.

Ensure contracting activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, and applicable

requirements.

Administer existing contracts by processing contractual documentation and reports and advising management on contractual rights and obligations.

Compile and analyze contract data and maintain accurate historical and contractual records.

Coordinate shipment, billing, and payment collection activities for contract deliverables and interface with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) as required.

Prepare weekly and monthly contract reports and maintain assigned contract documentation.

Prepare proprietary information agreements, associate contractor agreements, export licenses/agreements, and contractual memoranda as required.

Interpret Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements for applicable contract types and manage contractual flow-down requirements.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawActive U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance required; a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.

Bachelor's degree or higher.

5+ years of contract-related experience.

Knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements and federal government contracting practices, techniques, and standards.

General knowledge of pre-award and post-award U.S. Government contracting.

Experience with multiple government contract types, including cost-plus, fixed-price, and time-and-materials (T&M) contracts.

Ability to work full-time onsite in El Segundo, California.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing moderately complex contract administration and supporting competitive proposal development.
  • Experience working with commercial partners in the defense industry.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government contracts as a prime contractor, preferably for Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience with Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).
  • Experience with Costpoint.
  • Experience developing solutions to contract-related issues of moderate scope and complexity with minimal supervision.
