MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A bachelor's degree in marketing or journalism is preferred.
Experience:
5-7 years of design experience, preferably within a marketing, digital media, or branding department and 3-5 years of project management experience within a creative team.
Software:
Experience in Macintosh operating system; Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) or demonstrated equivalent. Competency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign).
EXPECTATIONS
The following are the minimum expectations that the Executive Leadership requires of a
Proposal Manager:
GENERAL:
Develop and manage proposals, statements of qualification, and pursuit deliverables from kick-off through to shortlist presentation. Coordinate, write, edit, layout, and produce statements of qualification, proposals, interview presentations, and leave behind materials Establish, work to, and manage proposal development calendar to include: Prospective client research Kick-off Draft milestones Final deliverable production Interview kick-off Interview deck development Leave behind development & production Guide pursuit/proposal team in developing and refining winning strategies and themes, compelling messages, and persuasive differentiators Develop and write persuasive messages based on information from independent research, meetings with proposal team members, and knowledge of organization capabilities and services Consolidate team input into clear and effective responses, write executive summaries and non-technical content, tailor project and resume information to the specific needs of each pursuit and client Collaborate with key proposal team members, graphic designers, and fellow marketers to ensure deliverables meet client needs and RFP/RFQ requirements Provide preliminary and final quality control check of materials, including proofreading for grammar, request for proposal (RFP) compliance, and conformance to proposal strategies and win themes Collaborate with graphic designers to develop visual asset and layout template library that support proposal development Ensure pursuit data is entered into the firm's proposal tracking system (HubSpot).
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Assign and balance project workload across creative development team members. Own project timelines, schedules, and documentation to help the team succeed. Work cross-functionally with all departments to understand project requirements, deadlines, and messaging objectives to create marketing materials that are on-brand and on-point. Partner in strategy determination for project interviews, client targeting and creative initiatives. Incorporate stakeholder/team feedback to continually improve creative development processes. Partner in quality assurance (QA) to ensure that deliverables are on point, properly branded, and approved by stakeholders. Help ensure the final creative product is consistent with original objectives and business goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong editorial, verbal, and written communication skills. Visualization and Storytelling experience required Editorial layout training strongly preferred Experience and success working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, researching, and problem-solving ability Client service-oriented

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation: Must be willing to work full-time out of our Riverside office. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a minimum of 50% of the time. Must be able to efficiently use the keyboard and computer mouse. Must be able to thoroughly communicate clearly with others. Must have visual acuity of 20 inches or closer. Must have reliable transportation.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
