, a full-service ad agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a Legal & Business Affairs Coordinator to join our growing team! This is a long-term contract role with access to benefits! We are a hybrid workplace, x3 days week onsite. Candidates must be local to SoCal.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position provides the unique opportunity to join the Legal & Business Affairs team at an agency with an abundant portfolio of global experience, spearheading the realization of new ideas & creativity. The Legal & Business Affairs Coordinator will learn to become a subject matter expert on the
SAG/AFTRA
Commercials contract, vendor/talent negotiations, rights and clearances, and more. The L&BA Coordinator will report to the Executive Director of Legal & Business Affairs | Traffic and assist on overseeing content production, including broadcast, industrial, and digital projects across clients and the agency network. The ideal candidate is a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Create estimates for production projects, and other projects as needed Purchase order/invoice processing Work with all outside vendors, such as talent agents, licensors, music and production companies Work with finance department on setting up new vendors Interdepartmental communication/collaboration as needed Work with producers and L&BA Managers to monitor production costs through job reconciliation Work with producers and L&BA Managers on completion reports for all projects Research performance rights organizations (PROs) databases to understand ownership break down of music licenses Pay talent sessions via Extreme Reach (XR) Manage talent/rights expiration and renewals Track commercial/video, licensing and agreement expirations while working closely with account teams to determine extensions and/or renegotiations Manage department's quarterly residuals job for clients Partner with L&BA Manager/Director for mentorship and advancement within the department Assist the Executive Director with coordination and department projects as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS 6 - 12
months internship or office experience in an ad agency or production company Some knowledge of union contracts is preferred Deep interest in Creative Production and Advertising Paralegal Certificate is a nice to have Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in fast-paced, dynamic environment. Analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, strategic thinking, and reasoning skills.
