Construction Administrator Job Summary:
The Construction Administrator provides administrative and operational support for construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role helps ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and properly documented by coordinating contracts, project files, communications, schedules, and compliance-related paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide administrative support to project managers, superintendents, and construction teams + Maintain project files, contracts, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and other construction documentation + Track project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables + Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients + Assist with bid documents, proposals, and contract administration + Prepare reports, meeting notes, and project correspondence + Monitor insurance certificates, permits, lien waivers, and compliance documentation + Process invoices, purchase orders, and other project-related financial paperwork + Support project closeout by organizing final documents, warranties, and punch list items + Maintain accurate records in project management systems and spreadsheets + Help ensure documentation is complete and aligned with company and project requirements Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred + 2+ years of administrative, construction administration, project coordination, or related experience preferred + Strong organizational and multitasking skills + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook + Experience with construction management or document control systems preferred + Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
