Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Product Support Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Air Vehicle Management team. This role is located in Palmdale, CA at Plant 42/Sites 3 and 4. This role supports two Air Vehicle Managers (AVMs) on PDM aircraft, ensuring Manufacturing and Support have what they need to be successful in their day-to-day operations. You will have direct management responsibilities for more than one integrated support element, including systems analysis, spares, provisioning, technical data, maintenance or modifications, support equipment and facilities. You will track and mitigate schedule constraints, briefs issues daily, and supervise updates to the IMS to secure parts and hardware prioritization. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: coordinating with 13 Front Line Managers and three Production Controllers, flagging constraints, communicating with the customer on GFE and GFP; covers aircraft status when needed and drives critical moves/tests, expediting parts and Quality support. This manager is also a Control Account Manager (CAM) for most of the PDM support team. - Must have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR a High School diploma/GED AND 9 years of related professional/military experience.
- Must be able to stand/walk for 75% of the workday and at least 2 hours at a time.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determine by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A certified Control Account Manager CAM.
- An expert in using Manufacturing Execution System MES.
- An excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, database software, and related development tools required.
