What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to join the Commercial Legal Team. This role involves partnering with the Supply Chain and Energy Legal Teams to support Tesla's global procurement, sales, and operations initiatives. As a key liaison between business stakeholders and the legal team, the successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. This position will be based in one of Tesla's offices in the Bay Area of California or Austin, Texas. What You'll Do
Review, negotiate, draft, and manage a variety of commercial supplier, customer, and energy-related contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, supply agreements, sales agreements, service agreements, and licensing agreements
Manage contract repositories and databases
Monitor legal support ticketing systems and commercial legal team mailboxes
Create and manage playbooks and training content for key initiatives within the commercial legal team
Develop and implement process improvements to increase contract efficiency and reduce cycle times
Provide support on transactions and related matters that support the day-to-day operations of the company
Develop strong relationships with internal business clients and stakeholders What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree (J.D. strongly preferred), or equivalent experience
5+ years of contract management experience, preferably in a supply chain, energy, manufacturing, or technology environment
Proficiency with contract management systems
Experience working cross-functionally with legal and business teams
Strong understanding of commercial contract terms and legal principles
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Compensation and Benefits

Expected Compensation
$92,000 - $138,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
