Here is what you will get:

9/80 (every other Friday off)
Pay Rate:
$50 to $65/hr DOE Here is what you will do: The Contracts Specialist provides expert guidance on business, contractual, and risk mitigation strategies to protect company interests. This role involves interpreting and analyzing complex contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and leading the contract lifecycle from solicitation review to negotiation and administration. The position requires a high level of strategic thinking, project management expertise, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance on business, contractual, and risk mitigation matters. Interpret and analyze contractual terms and conditions to protect company interests. Ensure compliance with regulations including the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g., DFARS), and other agency-specific regulations. Manage the review of solicitations, proposals, contract changes, and overall contract administration Serve as the primary contractual interface with customers and vendors. Negotiate contract terms to maximize financial and operational outcomes. Lead large, complex project initiatives with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Identify opportunities for process, system, or product improvements and implement innovative solutions. Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams to influence decisions and drive changes. Conduct detailed investigations to identify root causes of complex contractual or operational issues Develop and implement operational plans that impact business results and contribute to strategic objectives. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience Minimum of 7 years experience with USG Contracts Comprehensive knowledge of contract law, project management, and risk mitigation strategies. Working knowledge of regulations such as UCC, FAR, DFARS, and other agency regulations. Proven experience managing complex contracts, proposals, and negotiation processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual terms and conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage strategic initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and implement solutions under minimal guidance. Experience in improving processes, systems, or operational practices that enhance organizational performance.
