This role advises government leadership on complex acquisition strategies, contracting execution, source selections, business clearances, and policy compliance across the full life cycle of

weapon system and RDT&E programs. The candidate operates as a trusted advisor to Program Managers, PEOs, and SES leadership, ensuring acquisition and contracting approaches optimize cost, schedule, performance, competition, and mission outcomes while remaining fully compliant with FAR, DFARS, and DoD acquisition policy. In this role, you will: Provide senior contracting and acquisition subject matter expertise supporting complex DoD programs (RDT&E, production, sustainment, services, and rapid acquisition) Develop and evaluate acquisition and contracting strategies for
ACAT I-III
programs, including FAR-based and non-FAR instruments Support or lead contract clearance, business clearance, and pricing reviews for high-dollar, high-risk procurements Advise Program Managers and government leadership on source selection strategy, competition, contract types, incentive structures, and risk allocation Support execution of advanced contracting vehicles, including IDIQs, OTAs, SBIRs, BAAs, grants, cooperative agreements, and partnership intermediaries Provide expertise in cost/price analysis, negotiations, undefinitized contract actions (UCAs), and contract modifications Support rapid acquisition efforts and quick-reaction programs requiring accelerated contracting timelines Participate in or lead Independent Review Teams (IRTs), MIRT reviews, and peer reviews Develop executive-level briefings, acquisition decision documents, and supporting documentation for senior leadership Mentor junior acquisition and contracting personnel and support workforce development initiatives To be successful in this role, you will have: Active Top Secret Clearance U.S. Citizenship Bachelor's degree in Business, Acquisition, Contract Management, Engineering, or related field At least 15 years of DoD acquisition and contracting experience DAWIA Level III•Contracting (or equivalent) Extensive experience serving as a Contracting Officer with unlimited warrant Demonstrated experience supporting ACAT I and II programs Proven ability to support and approve high-visibility contracting actions ($100M+ and up to $250M) Expert knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DoD 5000 series, and contracting policy Experience working with OSD, AFMC, AFRL, MAJCOM, or PEO-level organizations Ability to travel up to 25% Desired /

Master's degree in Acquisition, Procurement, Business, or Management Prior experience as a Chief of Contracting Office, SCCO, Technical Director, or Division Chief Experience supporting nuclear, strategic, or highly classified programs Experience with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and non-traditional acquisition mechanisms Experience supporting Joint, OSD-directed, and Congressionally mandated programs Experience serving as

Salary range:
The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels. Actual base salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets. In addition to base salary, eligible positions may include other forms of compensation such as annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
