Job Description
Responsibilities:
Support pre-award acquisition activities including market research, acquisition planning, solicitation development, and proposal evaluation support. Prepare contract documentation including determinations and justifications, synopses, price negotiation memoranda, and cost/price analyses. Execute post-award contract administration including modifications, option exercises, invoice resolution in WAWF, and contract closeout. Maintain accurate, complete contract files in accordance with agency filing and documentation standards. Collaborate with Contracting Officers, CORs, program managers, and resource advisors to support timely contract execution. Provide advisory and analytical support to Government contracting officers and acquisition teams (does not perform inherently governmental functions).Qualifications:
Required:
Active Secret clearance required. TS/SCI required for on-site performance and must be obtainable. Personnel may perform duties with Secret clearance while TS/SCI eligibility is being adjudicated, as authorized by the Government.3+ years of experience as a contracting specialist in a federal government organization. Bachelor's degree with focus in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics, Public Administration, Managerial Administration or related business discipline. DAWIA Level II certification, Back to Basics Contracting Professional certification, or equivalent. Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable agency supplements, with the ability to apply current policies, updates, and guidance. Proficiency in contract writing and filing systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Contract Closeout Module, SharePoint, and Records Application Management (RMA) or similar federal Government procurement applications. Demonstrated experience in simplified acquisition of commercial items, fixed price contracts, contract closeout, and brand name justifications. Familiarity with FAR Parts 5, 6, 12, 13, 15, and 19…as applicable to commercial and simplified acquisitions.Desired:
Experience supporting Air Force or other DoD contracting offices.
