A Contracts Analyst reviews business contracts for a company or organization. Reviews proposed contract terms and conditions, communicates with management about contract obligations, and communicates and negotiates with clients. Prepares contract cost estimates and reviews proposals for contract changes. Confirms that contract terms have been met before a contract is closed out.

Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID 810 Datura Street, WPB 35591 Highly responsible work in the review, analysis, formulation, and production of formal written contractual agreements, reports, and grant administration. Responsible for ensuring the County's contractual procedures (administrative, management, operational and informational systems) are functioning to ensure maximum effective and efficient control of governmental contracts in accordance with current Federal/State/County laws and regulations. Reviews and analyzes the contractual operation of Department/divisions and agencies under the control of the Board of County Commissioners. Work includes monitoring administration and management of contractual policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such policies and procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director, Contract Administration, and considerable independent judgement, discretion, and initiative are exercised. Work is reviewed by observation of results obtained and by periodic written reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following : A Bachelor's Degree in Business/Public Administration, Management, or related field; minimum of two (2) years of responsible experience in contract administration, including experience in management, financial analysis, or operations research, OR An unrelated Bachelor's Degree; minimum of three (3) years of responsible experience in contract administration, including experience in management, financial analysis, or operations research, OR A related Associate's Degree; minimum of four (4) years of responsible experience in contract administration, including experience in management, financial analysis, or operations research, OR An unrelated Associate's Degree; minimum of five (5) years of responsible experience in contract administration, including experience in management, financial analysis, or operations research, OR Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) years of responsible experience in contract administration, including experience in management, financial analysis, or operations research.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Experience working with community stakeholders and with federal, state, and local laws about human services contracts, Experience with contract compliance and the principles and practices of public/governmental contract administration and management, Experience auditing/reviewing operational contracts, procurement, developing policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures, Project management experience, and Training background: Knowledge of how human services systems of care function and how programs are implemented at the state and/or local levels; experience in public speaking to small and large groups.
