Position Description:
The Proposal Manager will play a lead role in helping to secure new business by driving the proposal process and coordinating professional technical and commercial content on time. This position is responsible for ensuring timely and thorough completion of high quality proposals / quotations.
Essential Functions:
Actively manage customer requests for quotes / proposal and coordinate responses with a cross-functional team on a timely basis
Interface with management to drive proposals through internal review process in a timely fashion
Handle multiple proposals simultaneously and use good judgment in prioritizing work assignments
Set up recurring meetings to ensure that the proposal teams are on track to meet commitments
Ensures that proposals are completed and submitted by the deadline
Critical Competencies:
Strong, proven ability to manage cross-functional teams to execute on time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail with strong organization skills
Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
Passion for quality in their work
Able to perform under pressure within tight deadlines
Proficient in Excel, MS Office and AI Software
Familiarity with CRM and databases
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field required; MBA preferred
3-5 years of experience working in a Proposal Management, Internal Sales, or Program Management setting; aerospace experience is a plus
