Job Description
We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new office in Charlotte, NC! This expansion represents a major step in our growth, and we are looking for a dedicated Construction Business Administrator to join us. We are seeking a well organized, proactive, energetic and experienced administrator with construction industry knowledge to establish and lead the daily administrative operations for our new Charlotte office. J. Forrest Development, LLC is a full-service general contractor and developer with over 20 years of experience in the building industry.
Our diverse portfolio spans residential and commercial projects, including urban redevelopment, design-build delivery, and renovations, aimed at improving the quality of life in the communities we serve. Role Description This is a on-site role located in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will handle project accounting, bid solicitation and construction document control, administration and record keeping. You will have exposure to the entire construction process from permit to close out. You will work closely with management and project teams, and be integral in the organization, drive and growth of the company operations Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals. experience in processing vendor invoices Assist with project scheduling and coordination with a sense of urgency. Support construction estimating processes by soliciting bids, and bid documents. Maintain accurate records of project progress, budgets, and schedules while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Facilitate and take ownership of communication between project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure clarity and accountability throughout the construction process. Support contract administration by reviewing agreements, tracking deadlines, and managing document control systems. Proven experience in construction administration or project coordination within the construction industry. Excellent computer skills and proficiency of Microsoft suite Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with excellent time management skills and take ownership of outcomes. Book keeping experience a plus
