Manufacturing•Defense/Government Contracting About the Role A manufacturing company supporting military and government contracts is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the full contract lifecycle•from proposal support through execution, compliance, and closeout. This role is critical to ensuring the company meets all federal acquisition requirements while supporting program and operations teams. Key Responsibilities Manage full contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable federal acquisition regulations Review and interpret government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) and prepare compliant responses Serve as primary point of contact with government contracting officers and prime/subcontractors Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and milestones; flag risks proactively Partner with Legal, Finance, Program Management, and Operations on contract terms and pricing Manage subcontracts and flow-down requirements to suppliers Maintain accurate contract files and documentation for audits (DCAA, DCMA, etc.) Support change orders, modifications, claims, and dispute resolution Track key contract metrics and report status to leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or related field 5+ years of contracts management experience in a government/defense manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting regulations Experience withITAR/EAR
compliance a plus Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills Proficiency with ERP/contract management systems NCMA certification (CFCM, CPCM) a plus Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance may be requiredWhat's Offered Salary:
