Specialized Experience:
GS-07 Applicant must possessone year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service planning and developing procurement related documents and performing inspections to assure compliance with specifications and safety measures.
- OR•One year of graduate level education at an accredited college or university in any field of study.
- OR•Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) may be met by having a Bachelor's degree, with one of the following: A GPA of 3.
0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses or those completed in the last two years of study, or a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all courses in the major field of study or those courses in the major completed in the last two years of study, or rank in the upper one third of the class in the college, university, or major subdivision, or membership in a national honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. GS-09 Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal service planning and developing procurement related documents and performing inspections to assure compliance with specifications and safety measures.
- OR•Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.
B., or J.D., that is related to the work of the position to be filled.
- OR•An equivalent combination specialized experience and graduate education as described above.
(Only graduate education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be used).If this position is filled at the GS-09 grade level, you may be non-competitively promoted without further competition when the supervisor determines that the duties of the higher grade level are being performed, and all regulatory requirements have been met. Pertaining to the GS 11 grade only, there is a Selective Placement Factor required, in conjunction with the specialized experience listed below. Must possess and maintain Federal Acquisition Certification
- Contracting Officer Representative (FAC-COR) Level II certification; or have the requisite experience to obtain and maintain certification.
GS-11 Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal service planning and developing procurement related documents; performing property management processes and procedures, forms, documentation and record keeping requirements; applying fact-finding and investigative techniques to gather clear-cut factual evidence of compliance with contractual requirements and regulations; conducting studies, analyzing findings, and making recommendations.
- OR•Successful completion of a Ph.
D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M. that is related to the work of the position to be filled.
- OR•An equivalent combination specialized experience and graduate education as described above.
(Only graduate education in excess of the first 36 semester hours will be combined with the specialized experience). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps and AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
