Job Description
6 to 12 months contact Basic Purpose Provides analysis, negotiation, and administration of transmission area contracts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides analysis, negotiation, and administration of transmission area contracts. Manages and resolves contract compliance issues including tracking performance. Maintains contract files and documentation, including confidential information used for regulatory hearings and litigation. Performs the accounting settlement function of material and service related agreement invoices. Performs analysis on contract related issues. Supports pre- and post-construction activities. Facilitates the negotiation of simple contract amendments including date changes and minor scope changes. Circulates and tracks template agreements for execution. Supports the negotiation of transmission agreements. Continually evaluates current business processes and seeks to improve internal operations wherever possible. Responds to data requests submitted by internal customers. Ensures approvals and appropriate documentation are received and maintained as needed. Enters contract metadata and contract documents into system of record. Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned. Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Associates' degree from an accredited school. Candidates that do not possess an associates degree must have 2 years of related work experience. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated skills and knowledge of energy industry or contract administration practices. Demonstrated skills of negotiation, issue resolution, and project leadership. Demonstrated analytical, time management, communication, attention to detail, customer service, and organization skills. Able to multi-task and work in both a team oriented environment and independently. Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Experience with a contract management system is a plus. Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. No special physical demands required.
