WHAT WE'RE DOING
Lockheed Martin is seeking a dynamic Subcontracts Program Management Asc Manager to execute the supply‑chain strategy within the VLS portfolio. In this leadership role you will lead rapid program startup, drive efficient execution, and mentor a high‑performing team of subcontract professionals. You will work side‑by‑side with engineers, program managers, and senior leadership who share a "no limits" mindset and a commitment to delivering extraordinary results.
THE WORK
Team Management & Development
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of contract specialists, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development. Contract Negotiation & Administration
  • Negotiate complex subcontracts, ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and Lockheed Martin policies, and maximize program value. Risk Identification & Mitigation
  • Proactively spot technical, schedule, cost, and compliance risks; develop and execute mitigation plans. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal partners (program management, engineering, finance) and external suppliers and government customers. Data Driven Decision Making
  • Analyze supply chain data, develop KPI dashboards, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Continuous Improvement
  • Champion process optimization, Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and best in class procurement practices across the portfolio. and sustainable practices. Ethical Leadership
  • Model and enforce the highest standards of business ethics, responsible sourcing, and sustainable practices. Proposal Support
  • Staff and support proposal activities, ensuring supply chain best practices are embedded in SOW development, RFP creation, negotiation, and bid strategy. Travel
  • Approx.
25% travel to supplier sites, government customers, and program meetings.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 5years of progressive subcontract/contract management experience in aerospace, defense, or a high technology environment Ability to obtain a security clearance
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of new program startups and development to production processes.
Travel Flexibility:
Willingness to travel ~25% of the time.
Desired Skills:
Negotiation Expertise:
Demonstrated success negotiating high value, complex subcontracts.
Analytical Skills:
Strong data analysis and Earned Value Management proficiency; ability to develop actionable KPI dashboards.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to senior executives and government customers. Ability to comprehend complex technical topics/issues and translate them for audiences of varying backgrounds. Control Account Management (CAM) experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements. Experience estimating Global Supply Chain (GSC) labor hours and materials for LockheedMartin proposal efforts. Fundamental knowledge of LMP2P (LockheedMartin Project Planning & Performance) including reporting functions. Experience negotiating unique terms and conditions and contract changes with large suppliers. Experience with risk and opportunity management. Deep understanding of LockheedMartin supply chain processes, LMAPs, and
FAR/DFAR
regulations.

Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this
Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500
  • $184,115.
For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100
  • $208,150.
