Job Description

The Contract Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of contract administration for construction projects, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements. This role also covers key project administration functions, supporting Project Managers in coordinating documentation, schedules, and communication to ensure successful project execution. This hybrid role ensures contractual obligations are met while supporting the operational efficiency of projects. By combining contract administration with project coordination, the position plays a critical part in delivering projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with all standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Administration Draft, review, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and change orders in compliance with company policies and legal standards. Ensure adherence to contractual terms, insurance requirements, and regulatory obligations. Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, certificates of insurance, bonds, and compliance documents. Assist in negotiating contract terms and resolving disputes or claims with subcontractors and vendors. Track contract-related costs, process invoices, and monitor payment schedules. Identify potential risks in contract terms and recommend mitigation strategies. Project Administration Support Project Managers in organizing project activities, meetings, and schedules. Act as a liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely information flow.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 3-5 years of experience in contract administration and/or project administration within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction contracts. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore or Oracle Unifier. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
