Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Contract Director specializing in Roadside Assistance to lead our contract management initiatives and vendor relationships within this vital service sector. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of roadside assistance contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards, optimizing procurement processes, and fostering strong partnerships with service providers. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, mitigate risks, and support business growth through effective contract strategies and vendor management. Duties Lead the development, review, and negotiation of contracts related to roadside assistance services, ensuring clarity, compliance, and strategic alignment. Manage vendor relationships by overseeing performance metrics, conducting regular reviews, and fostering collaborative partnerships to enhance service delivery. Oversee procurement processes for roadside assistance contracts, including sourcing vendors, evaluating proposals, and executing agreements using platforms like DocuSign and ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP. Ensure all contractual documentation adheres to legal standards including UCC law, U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and applicable compliance requirements. Conduct thorough contract reviews to identify risks, opportunities for cost savings, and improvements in service scope or delivery. Maintain meticulous records of all contracts, amendments, negotiations, and related documentation within document management systems for easy access and audit readiness. Collaborate with legal teams on drafting contractual clauses related to intellectual property law, change management, and dispute resolution to safeguard organizational interests. Qualifications Proven experience in contract management or procurement within the roadside assistance or transportation industry. Strong knowledge of vendor management principles and experience negotiating complex contracts involving multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with legal drafting, document review processes, UCC law, FAR regulations, and compliance management practices. Proficiency in contract lifecycle tools such as Salesforce, DocuSign, ERP systems (PeopleSoft or similar), and records management software. Excellent research skills combined with strategic planning capabilities to develop innovative business solutions. Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms while maintaining positive vendor relations. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
