Job Description

Equity Staffing Group is hiring for Contract Managers for a hybrid role n Minnetonka, MN and Madison, WI. Our client is a leading nonprofit health insurance organization dedicated to improving access to high-quality, affordable healthcare through innovative member and provider solutions. Hybrid role (3 days in office Tues.-Thursday / Home Monday, Friday) Contract through the end of the year
Pay Range:
$30-$40/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Contract Negotiator role will be accountable to partner with internal teams to negotiate contracts with existing vendors. The Contract Negotiator will be responsible for supporting contracting efforts for existing vendor relationships, including contract amendments, renewals, and for standard products and services. The Contract Negotiator will conduct negotiations that will include pricing and company preferred terms and conditions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Negotiation (60%) Lead contracting efforts for existing vendors to ensure timely completion of contract renewals, contract amendments and contract extensions. Leverage and follow client contract templates, tools, and playbooks to ensure consistency in contract negotiations across the team. Develop and negotiate contracts for standard products and services with vendors in collaboration with Legal, Technology, Finance, and Operations. Ensure that contracts include Medica-preferred terms and conditions, pricing, and service level agreements in order to meet business needs and achieve business outcomes. Business Relationship Management (20%) Utilize effective communication and collaboration skills to establish strong relationships with business partners. Partner with internal teams to understand contracting needs with existing vendors and for expiring contracts. Effectively communicate information in a succinct and timely manner with stakeholders with the ability to flex communication style appropriately depending on the level of audience. Contract Management (20%) Maintain and update contract records, ensuring that relevant and accurate data is entered into the contract management tool timely. Analyze data and plan for contract renewals and extensions in area of responsibility. Respond to internal stakeholder questions on notifications and educate on processes for contract renewals, amendments and extensions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 1-3 years of related work experience beyond degree.
Major:
Business, Marketing, Finance, or Pre-Law Preferred
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Specific types of experience or skills required: Proven or demonstrated understanding of contracts and negotiations. Proven or demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, professionalism, and positive interactions with others. Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to exercise independent judgment when managing workload and prioritizing work. Experience communicating information in a succinct and timely manner with stakeholders. Ability to flex communication style appropriately depending on the level of audience. Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Systems/Technology:
MS Suite, Zip HQ or other workflow based procurement tool, Docusign Specific types of experience or skills preferred: Experience performing contract negotiations. Experience drafting and editing contract documents.
